Embroidery
Embroidery branding is qualified by stitch count.
The majority of corporate logos on apparel or uniforms are embroidered on the left chest area of a shirt (or front of a cap) and this tends to not exceed 7,000 stitches.
Instances where the stitch count increases is when a logo or image has a large “fill” (an area to be filled in with coloured stitch). Plus, logos needing to be digitized larger than the standard will result in a larger stitch count.
The benefits of choosing embroidery:-
- Allows for a raised, premium branding output
- Can be a cost-efficient option when branding area is small
The limitations with embroidery:-
- If the branding area is large, this option can become inefficient (recommend digital or screen print instead)
- Small intricate details can often be lost
